SMITE

Smite is a popular action-packed multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) where players embody gods from mythologies around the world. Featuring a unique third-person perspective, Smite combines fast-paced combat, strategic teamwork, and a diverse roster of deities with unique abilities. As players fight for dominance in arenas or objective-based modes, they experience the thrill of godly battles in dynamic, immersive environments.

As a Senior Game Designer on SMITE, I led the creation and refinement of features that deepened player engagement and fostered community within the game. One of my key contributions was the SMITE NIGHT event system, a weekly event designed to enhance player interaction, drive retention, and give the community fresh, exciting challenges each week.

I also spearheaded a comprehensive UI redesign for SMITE, improving accessibility and satisfaction by aligning the interface with player feedback and user experience best practices. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Product, and Marketing, I ensured that each feature resonated with player trends while meeting the game’s business goals. My work included mentoring junior designers, supporting their growth in areas such as system design and event creation, to ensure our team delivered consistently high-quality experiences.

On SMITE, I was a Senior Game Designer. My Duties included:

  • Led the conceptualization and execution of SMITE’s UI redesign, significantly improving user satisfaction and retention.
  • Product Owner for SMITE NIGHT, a weekly event system which improved player engagement and recurring retention rate.
  • Led cross-functional teams including Analytics, Product, and Marketing to align features with player trends and business goals.
